Service — The site you already have
WordPress changes and new features
Changes to an existing site without rebuilding it
- Price
- from €100 per task
- Timeline
- depends on scope, usually within 1–2 weeks
- How it starts
- A call, then a fixed price
Not every website needs a rebuild. Often it is enough to add a section, a new feature, fix a form that stopped sending e-mails, or connect the site to another system. The hard part is finding someone who can work on someone else’s WordPress without breaking anything.
What is usually done
- A new page or section matching the existing site
- Custom content types: references, team, branches, careers, catalogue
- Fixing errors after WordPress or plugin updates
- Forms that do not send e-mails or collect spam
- Integrations with CRM, newsletter, bookings, invoicing
- Language versions with Polylang or WPML
- WooCommerce changes: shipping, payments, checkout fields
How it works
First, a look at what the site runs on: theme, page builder, plugins, PHP version. Then you get a fixed price for the specific task, not an hourly rate. Changes are made on a copy of the site, not live, and go live only after your approval.
Someone else’s code
Most sites that come in for changes were built by someone else. That is not a problem. If the code is in a state where another change would be risky, you will know before work starts, together with a proposal of what to do about it.
What it includes
- Site review and estimate before work starts
- Fixed price for the specific task
- Changes on a copy of the site, deployed after approval
- Backup before every change
What you get at the end
- The finished change on the live site
- A short note on what changed
- A backup of the state before the change
Who it is for
- Companies with a working WordPress site missing a specific feature
- Sites where the original developer no longer responds
- Agencies that need a developer for client site changes
When this is not for you
- You need changes every week. Website care is the better deal then
- The site is not on WordPress
- The whole site is in a state where a new one makes more sense
Frequently asked questions
Can a site built by someone else be changed?
Yes, that is the most common case. Before work starts, you get an estimate and a note on any risks.
How much does a small change cost?
The price is agreed up front for the specific task. Smaller changes start at €100.
Can you work with Elementor and other page builders?
Yes, although custom code is faster and more stable. If it is worth it, you will get that option too.
What if something breaks after the change?
A backup is made before every change and changes are tested on a copy. Errors caused by the change are fixed free of charge.
